The Boston Celtics decided to pay tribute to Kobe Bryant during their matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers. They did so with purple wristbands that have the numbers 8 and 24 on them.

Between teams taking 24 second shot clock violations and eight second backcourt violations, there have been plenty of creative ways teams have honored Bryant following his tragic death in a helicopter crash last Jan. 26.

The impact Bryant left on the NBA and on the world will be felt for many years to come. The Celtics' tribute is just the latest measure of gratitude the players in the league have shown to the NBA legend.

The memorial service for Kobe Bryant and Gigi will be held at Staples Center on Monday. The date of the service itself contains both the jersey numbers of Gigi (two) and Kobe (24) since it will take place on Feb. 24. Countless fans and players are expected to attend to honor the Lakers great.

Brad Stevens and the Celtics are also expected to attend the memorial, as they will be staying in LA following Sunday's game.
