In a battle between two of the premier franchises in the NBA, the Boston Celtics and the Philadelphia 76ers went back and forth Wednesday night. It was not one of the household names that came to the rescue either, it was The Time Lord, Robert Williams.

In what was a defensive battle all night, Williams' shot blocking was the difference. With a little under eight minutes remaining in a one point game, Robert Williams climbed the ladder to reject Tobias Harris in the lane.

Both teams proceeded to go back and forth, as there were six lead changes in the 4th quarter alone. In the final seconds, Celtics head coach Ime Udoka re-inserted Williams into the lineup. Once again, the Time Lord showed off his athleticism.

Williams initially displays an excellent job defending the inbounds pass. He follows Georges Niang into the paint, and lets him trail into the corner. The ball gets moved around and finds itself in Niang's hands again. Williams flies out at him and blocks the shot at the buzzer, sealing the victory for the Celtics.

Celtics star Jayson Tatum led the way offensively with 26 points and 16 rebounds.

With the win, Boston improved to 12-10 on the season and into a three way tie for 7th place in the deep Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Sixers loss dropped them back to .500 at 11-11.
