It has been a couple of weeks since Boston Celtics All-Star forward Gordon Hayward suffered a gruesome broken left leg in the season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, the 27-year-old has already begun his path back to recovery as he's already taken shots from a chair in the gym, according to Celtics general manager Danny Ainge.

This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise as there were previous reports that he had begun shooting from a chair just a few days after the operation. There is clearly a strong internal will from Hayward to get back from this possibly career-altering injury.

Although he has been declared out for the rest of the 2017-18 season, it hasn't wavered his motivation to return from the first major injury of his NBA career. It will likely be a few months before he can begin to go through drills while standing up as he still needs for his leg to heal and then rebuild strength in the muscle in that area once again.

That said, the fact that he's made a point to start going through shooting drills from a chair shows the dedication and passion that he has for the game of basketball.
