The Boston Celtics are set to take on the Golden State Warriors in the 2022 NBA Finals. They worked their way through the treacherous Eastern Conference, most recently knocking the Miami Heat out of the postseason tournament. Meanwhile, the Warriors worked their way through the West, most recently defeating the Dallas Mavericks in the Conference Finals.
According to Ime Udoka, Golden State's success can be strongly attributed to the team's offensive production, specifically from deep. The Athletic's Jay King tweeted Udoka's quote ahead of the final series.
Ime Udoka on GSW: "Obviously high-level shot making from the 3-point line. … Poole adds to that mix. … The core is the core. What they do well is shoot the ball. But I think teams can kind of overdose on that at times. It's a lot of the little things that get them going."

“Obviously high-level shot making from the 3-point line. … Poole adds to that mix. … The core is the core. What they do well is shoot the ball,” Udoka said.

Of course, facing the Splash Brothers duo of Klay Thompson and Steph Curry (and their younger brother Jordan Poole), the Celtics know what they're getting into.
However, Udoka said that the team's offense-heavy style could double as their greatest strength and weakness. “But I think teams can kind of overdose on that at times. It's a lot of the little things that get them going,” he said.
In the same breath, Warriors' Steve Kerr is equally cautious heading into the final series. He called Jayson Tatum “one of the very best” players in the NBA right now. The best-of-seven series begins Thursday night with Game 1 in San Francisco.
