Denver Nuggets point guard Isaiah Thomas will get a video tribute from the Boston Celtics on Monday in his return to TD Garden, according to Mike Singer of The Denver Post.

Thomas didn't get a video tribute last season when he came back to TD Garden because he was resting while playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs then traded the guard to the Los Angeles Lakers at the February trade deadline. The Lakers already made their one trip to Boston.

Isaiah Thomas played three seasons with the Celtics. He averaged 24.7 points in 179 games with Boston and was a two-time All-Star as well.

During the 2016-17 season, Thomas put up 28.9 points per game and was in the MVP conversation. The lefty led the Celtics to the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

In the first round of the 2017 playoffs, Thomas played following the death of his sister. It was a moving performance from IT, who was crying in warmups during Game 1 against the Chicago Bulls.

Thomas suffered a serious hip injury and wasn't able to play in the final three games of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cavs. Celtics president Danny Ainge then traded the Washington native to the Cavs in the Kyrie Irving deal. It was a controversial move considering Thomas played for the team with a hip ailment and even after his sister passed away.
