Celtics’ Jaylen Brown’s 2-emoji reaction to Jayson Tatum erupting for 53 points
The Boston Celtics, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown have put it together recently, producing four wins in their last five games. They currently reside in seventh place in the Eastern Conference, increasing their chances of making the playoffs this year.
Thanks to Jayson Tatum’s hot hand, the Celtics were able to close out the Minnesota Timberwolves in a high-scoring matchup that ended 145-136.
In fact, during the game, Tatum was able to accomplish a feat that we haven’t seen in Boston since the legendary Larry Bird. Jaylen Brown sent a two-emoji tweet, offering his opinion on how he views his Celtics teammate.

Just a couple of goats hanging out in Boston. Nothing to see here. Not only was Tatum the first Celtics player to score 53+ points since Larry Bird, but he’s also now the youngest to ever do it in Boston as well, per Sports Illustrated. The report noted that this was the first 50-point game for Tatum, who surpassed his previous high of 41.
The Celtics seem to be getting hot at the right time. They’re only half of a game behind the Miami Heat, which is the minimum seed they should be aiming for. Seeds 1-6 are safe this postseason, while seeds 7-10 compete in play-in games to determine the final two spots in the playoff bracket.
As long as Jayson Tatum continues to play like this, the Celtics will have an opportunity to beat anybody.
Check out the Celtics’ next matchup on Sunday, as they have a tough game against the red-hot Denver Nuggets. This is a game with serious playoff contentions, as both of these organizations are aiming to climb the ranks in their respective conferences.
