Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown is about to embark on without a doubt the most important series of his career when they take on the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. Brown has nothing but love for the Bay Area, though, as the All-Star swingman sent a special shoutout to San Francisco ahead of Game 1 on Thursday.

Brown spent a year in the Bay Area during his brief stint with the University of California in Berkley. The former Golden Bears star just had to share how excited he is to play in the NBA Finals in his second home:

ā€œBay Area is like my home away from home blessed to be playing in the #NBAFinals in front of family and friends #GoBears šŸ»ā€ wrote the Celtics star in his tweet.

Game 1 is scheduled for Thursday night in Golden State and as he mentioned in his tweet, it's going to be a bit of a homecoming for Brown. He is well aware, however, that it will be a hostile reception for him and the Celtics with Warriors fans some of the most passionate bunch in the entire NBA.

It goes without saying that this is going to be an epic series.
