Knee soreness in January hampered the season of Boston Celtics star Kemba Walker. Despite the hiatus brought about by the pandemic, the guard has not fully recovered. However, the guard remains positive that his knee will fully heal soon.
In a post-practice conference call with the media, Walker gave an update of his knee situation. He noted that he's practicing much caution in dealing with the knee, taking it one day at a time.

But I’ll be back in time for when things get real, for sure.”
Knee problems started in January which forced the four-time All-Star to miss 10 games before the season was suspended in mid-March. The Brad Stevens-coached squad returned to practice in Orlando last week. Unfortunately, Kemba Walker's knee problems resurfaced as well. Despite this, Walker maintains a positive mindset. The goal is not to recover as quickly as possible, but to heal the right way — even if it takes time.
“This is not normal for me being out like this,” said Walker, who had missed just six games in his previous four seasons combined. “But this is just the smart way to go about things because I want to be at my best for my teammates and this organization when that regular season comes around, and most definitely in the Playoffs.”
The Celtics currently sport a 43-21 record for third in the East.
