Former Boston Celtics big man Kendrick Perkins surprised his “First Take” co-hosts and everyone watching their show on Friday with his rather interesting wardrobe choice.

Perkins wore a striped prisoner costume during the show and even brought handcuffs to emphasize his point on how the Celtics locked down and beat the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. While his message was heard and seen loud and clear, the likes of Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim couldn't hide their shock.

Smith even went as far as to saying that Perkins' costume “threw me off.”

As for his explanation for his costume, Kendrick Perkins continued his criticisms of the Warriors and praise for the Celtics.

“I’m telling you: Look, they reopened Alcatraz because they had to buy room to put the Golden State Warriors in a place where they wouldn’t be bothered,” Perkins said, via Uproxx. “Because you know what happened last night? BAM. They got the handcuffs put on 'em in the fourth quarter. Sixteen points in the fourth quarter. Molly, you don’t even have to tee me up, I’m ready already. Listen, this is what happened: People got to talking about the Golden State Warriors and how much experience they had and all this, and I said, ‘Listen, the Celtics are going to win Game 1.'”

Interesting choice from Perkins indeed. But hey, at least he got to entertain a lot of people. It is certainly worth thinking what he would be wearing next should the Celtics win another game against the Warriors.
