The Boston Celtics' legendary big three featuring Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen enjoyed a great deal of success during their time together, bringing a long-awaited championship to the franchise. However, things weren't always good between the three, as Allen, who was a free agent at the time, departed from Boston to join LeBron James with the Miami Heat. Garnett looked at Allen as a traitor, seeing as the Celtics and Heat had a heated rivalry at the time. The Big Ticket went years without speaking to Allen, though the two were seen posing for a picture during the NBA' Top 75 celebration at the All-Star weekend. Garnett spoke about the picture and revealed how he buried the hatchet with his former Celtics teammate, as reported by NBC Sports.

We chopped. We chopped.

When we took the picture, he was on my left shoulder. So, he grabbed my head, and I turned around. First thing we did, “What’s up with you, boy? You good” and just went into like we didn’t miss a beat.

Life is about moving, growing.

Garnett revealed that he and former Celtics teammate Allen basically spoke, just like old times. The Big Ticket shared some important wisdom, saying that “life is about growing and moving.” Kudos to Garnett for coming to such a realization.

Known for being an intense competitor, it was certainly understandable why Garnett took exception to Allen departing for the Heat. However, the two enjoyed some of the best moments of their careers together with the Celtics, building a life-long friendship that wasn't worth throwing away over feelings of animosity.

It appears that friendship is alive and well.
