Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving was asked to talk on the MVP debate during an interview with Hot 97 Radio, as former teammate LeBron James, New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis, and eventual Most Valuable Player James Harden competed for the coveted award.

Host Ebro took it a step further, asking him if James has reached Michael Jordan's level for the title of Greatest of All-Time.

Ebro: “Is he better than Michael Jordan though? Speaking of history.”

Irving: “Nah, nah.”

Ebro: “Has he reached that [level]?”

Irving: “No. No, I would say that he's on his own lane, man.”

Irving has no love lost for James, and it clearly shows during this interview, still holding him under Jordan as the GOAT, despite having played three seasons alongside him and won a championship with him.

While Irving would have likely not made this comment during his days as a Cleveland Cavalier, being with the Boston Celtics gives him a freedom of opinion that is rather refreshing — now getting his actual honest take in one of the biggest debates.

Nevertheless, with now know what Kyrie Irving thinks about not only the shape of the Earth, but on the great LeBron James and Michael Jordan GOAT conversation.
