Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce said before that Michael Jordan is the greatest player of all time. However, it seems he is having doubts about that GOAT debate as of late.

On Twitter, Pierce opened up the topic once again and expressed his confusion why Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has never been at the top of the conversation–which often  feature Jordan, LeBron James and Kobe Bryant (for some). In Pierce's reflection, fans and experts alike need to rethink the debate and put some respect on KAJ's name.

While it is no longer new, the Celtics icon is right in bringing the issue to light. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, having played in an era when basketball was not yet popular or even at its peak, just doesn't get much credit for what he has accomplished.

Not only has he won six NBA championships and six regular-season MVPs, but he has also accumulated the most points in the NBA with 38,387–a record that still stands 32 years after his retirement from the league.

Michael Jordan is often considered the GOAT because of his dominant run in the NBA in the early and late 90s. He has accomplished so much on the court, and his ability to score and defend at an elite level makes his case really strong. Nonetheless, Kareem certainly has a strong argument as well that won't pale in comparison to that of Jordan or LeBron James.

But then again, as Paul Pierce hinter, it's truly difficult to come up with a one true GOAT with the evolution of the league and the changes that have happened over the years.
