After Ray Allen turned down a contract offer from the Boston Celtics at the end of the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season and left to the LeBron James-led Miami Heat, some of his former Celtics teammates, like Rajon Rondo, cut ties with him.

It was not only the fact that Allen left the organization with which he won his first NBA Championship, even when they wanted him back. But the team Allen signed with was the Celtics' bitter rival. Long story short, Allen pulled a move from Kevin Durant's future playbook; he signed with the team that had just kicked him out of the conference finals. Only Allen did it four years before; perhaps he is the original snake.

In a vacation planned to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the Celtics' last championship in 2008, organized by Rondo, everyone from that year's roster was invited. Except for Ray-Ray. Speaking to the Globe last February, Rondo publicly said Allen was not invited. Both of the backcourt stars were known to have their fair share of issues in the past.

Apparently, the star playmaker changed his mind since. According to Gary Washburn from the Boston Globe, Rondo said Allen is now invited to join his former teammates:

“Everybody [on the team] is invited,” Rondo said.

He was not the only star that had some beef with Allen after the latter left. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett also expressed disapproval when Allen went to South Beach. Nobody appeared to have any issues with the 3-point specialist before he left the team, but most players acknowledged their issues with Allen were due to him signing in Miami. Tensions appear to be down by now and Allen will probably join his championship team to enjoy the vacation.
