Boston Celtics big man Tristan Thompson is in the middle of quite the controversy right now after he instigated a bit of beef between himself and Lamar Odom on Twitter over the mother of his child — and Odom's ex — Khloe Kardashian. A bit of good news has come Thompson's way, however, in the form of a huge win in court.

According to TMZ Sports, the Celtics big man has been awarded $50,000 after a judge ruled in his favor in a recent libel case against a woman named Kimberly Alexander. The case stemmed from Alexander's allegations over Thompson being the father of her child. Thompson vehemently denied Alexander's accusations and even sued her for $100,000 last year after claiming that her allegations damaged his reputation.

The court entered a default judgement in favor for the Celtics veteran, but according to reports, the damages were cut in half because of Thompson's failure to provide details as to which endorsement deals he lost because of Alexander's malicious claims.

Then again, $50K is still $50K. More importantly, Thompson has been able to prove here that he did not have an affair with Alexander while dating Kardashian. Or maybe just that he didn't father her child.

Did the Celtics star just prove that he has been faithful to Kardashian throughout their relationship? Absolutely not. This isn't the first time Tristan Thompson has been linked to some extra-curricular activity outside his rather rocky relationship with Kardashian, and as they always say, when there's smoke, there's fire. At least this is one issue Thompson no longer has to worry about. I think.
