A number of different golfers left the PGA for LIV Golf. Phil Mickelson, Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson are just a few of the big names that joined the Saudi-backed tour. NBC golf commentator David Feherty joined LIV Golf as well. But those people were all in the golf world. Sure, PGA fans were disappointed. However, their departures were not completely unprecedented. But the recent news in reference to TNT's Inside the NBA's Charles Barkley will catch fans off-guard.

Barkley, an NBA Hall of Famer, could realistically leave Inside the NBA for LIV Golf, per Dan Patrick.

“He’s the most valuable voice in sports media,” Patrick said on his radio show. “You throw in all the commercials, because he may lose those endorsements, a lot of these players who joined the LIV tour lost endorsements. Charles knows that he may lose those. So if you’re gonna go after Charles Barkley, you don’t have a TV deal and you have David Feherty, what are you gonna give Charles Barkley? And Charles says he’s going to listen to them, I believe tomorrow night and decide what he’s going to do, and he might have to leave TNT. That’s why this is a huge deal. And Charles knows that he may have to leave TNT to do this.”

Inside the NBA is arguably the most popular sports show. It features host Ernie Johnson along with Charles Barkley, Shaq, and Kenny Smith. It would be devastating for fans to lose Barkley should he join LIV Golf.
