Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith play Go Fish at halftime of Cavs-Celtics Game 2

What to do when one of the teams of your only broadcasted NBA game is getting blown out of their own arena at the half?

Do an extra load of laundry, walk the puppy, finish the flashcards for your final exam study session… but if you’re Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley of Inside The NBA on TNT, how about just getting in a game of Go Fish?

When the Boston Celtics were getting throttled by the reigning NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers by 41 points at halftime, what’s there to analyze?

The Cavs getting off to a gargantuan 72-31 lead was as clear cut as it gets — Boston was out of this game before it even got started. At one point, Cleveland even led by as many as 51 points at 113-62 early in the fourth quarter.

A hip injury to Isaiah Thomas only made things worse, as Cleveland pushed the lead to 44 by the end of the game, nullifying the Celtics’ home court advantage.

If they keep on the same trail, it won’t be long before they go fishing alongside Sir Charles and the Jet.
