Matchday 10 of the Premier League season was quite a significant one for Chelsea.

For one, Chelsea clinched its fourth straight league win of the season with the 3-0 away victory over Newcastle United. Chelsea had its way in controlling the pace of play over the match and it also had key contributions from fullbacks Ben Chilwell and Reece James in the contest.

More so, Chelsea opened up a three-point lead at the top of the league table after Liverpool dropped points following its 2-2 draw result against Brighton & Hove Albion. And to put the cherry on the top for the Blues, reigning Premier League champions Manchester City finished with a lowly 2-0 loss in its home fixture against Crystal Palace.

It has been quite common for managers amid tight Premier League title races to admit that they celebrate when rival clubs drop points. But this is not the case with Tuchel, which he touched on following Chelsea’s key win over Newcastle United.

“What goes around comes around,” Tuchel said. “There’s a long way to go.

“We should have our feet on the ground and be aware of what we put into the games that we are capable of winning. I am very happy about the team effort today.

“We don't celebrate other teams' results. You can lose to any team in any match in this league. So we focus on ourselves, keep going and let's see where it goes, but it is a long way to go.”

While Tuchel is not much following the storylines surrounding the current tight Premier League title race, many Chelsea players sure may keep a close watch on matchday 11 next week, as Manchester City will clash with Manchester United while Liverpool will take on West Ham United. Favorable results for Chelsea in these two matchups could see the side once again increase its first place lead in the league standings.
