Chelsea has been handed a significant blow ahead of their Champions League clash with Juventus on Wednesday. Thomas Tuchel revealed that midfielder N'Golo Kante has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be unavailable for at least 10 days due to the isolation period.

That being said, Kante will miss the next two games and is also a doubt for France's Nations League semifinal against Belgium next week. This is obviously far from ideal for Chelsea, considering just how important the Frenchman is in the middle of the pitch. Unfortunately, that's not their only absence for the Juve match, either. Mason Mount, Reece James, and Christian Pulisic are all unavailable to feature in Turin as well.

Kante has played four Premier League games for Chelsea this term but has only started two. Mateo Kovacic has been selected ahead of Kante on several occasions but nonetheless, Kante has still made his presence felt when in action.

Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the campaign over the weekend against Manchester City in a rather uninspiring attacking display. They will be looking to bounce back mid-week in Italy in UCL, having won their first European fixture two weeks ago in a 1-0 victory over Zenit at Stamford Bridge.

Let's hope N'Golo Kante recovers quickly and is available after the international break for Chelsea.
