Eric Bieniemy has long been considered one of the best coaching prospects in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator has been a top candidate for many coaching gigs over the years. However, Bieniemy has not landed a permanent head coaching gig for himself.

One former player under the Chiefs OC's system has spoken out why he hasn't been picked to lead a team. LeSean McCoy, a former star in Eric Bieniemy's system, spoke out against his former OC. In a podcast appearance, McCoy ripped Bieniemy, saying that the reason why he hasn't landed a job is due to his attitude towards players. (via New York Post)

“He talks to players a certain way, and some players would take it. I wouldn’t take it. There’s some questions I’m gonna ask. Everyone’s accountable. It’s not because he’s a black coach [that he’s not getting hired]. That’s not the reason… no one hires him because they know what type of coach he really is.”

That's one hell of a statement from McCoy. The former Chiefs running back even went so far as to say that Bieniemy was the reason he left the team after 2019. It's a shocking statement, one that was seemingly unprompted from Shady McCoy.

Bieniemy and the Chiefs have more things to worry about other than McCoy's statements, though. The team lost a big star of theirs in Tyreek Hill. Patrick Mahomes has assured fans that the newly-revamping receiving corps can handle the load. However, we will never truly know how this team fares until the regular season starts.
