Olympic sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson has been suspended for a month after a positive marijuana test. In turn, reactions from across the globe poured in and many are upset with the penalty handed to Richardson, who won't be able to compete in her event with the month-long suspension. Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was the latest to show his frustration with the situation.

Richardson's suspension has lit the fire for many, as marijuana is legalized in many states across the country. Richardson spoke on the incident, saying she ingested marijuana to help deal with the loss of her mother.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard also voiced his concern over the suspension, and for good reason. After a terrific showing recently, her shot at an Olympic medal has been halted, although there is a possibility she competes in the relay event.

Richardson responded after the suspension with a simple tweet, reminding everybody that she is just like the rest.

While it seems unlikely that the suspension is erased, the Chiefs quarterback is the latest star to voice his concern, and perhaps the committee thinks twice about this type of rule going forward, especially with the commonness of the recreational use of marijuana.

For now, Richardson is out for the Olympics, and it is just an awful suspension.
