No Patrick Mahomes? No problem for the Kansas City Chiefs, who squeaked by the visiting Minnesota Vikings thanks in part to kicker Harrison Butker's 44-yard game-winning field goal with time expiring to give Kansas City a 26-23 win (via NFL.)

Mahomes missed last week with a knee injury and continues to be sidelined as he recovers; in the meantime, veteran signal-caller Matt Moore is his replacement. Moore snapped the Chiefs' one-game losing streak to get back in the win column—KC is now 6-3—by going 25-for-25 for 275 yards and one touchdown in the Week 9 win against the Vikings.
Butker, meanwhile, was perfect on the day: 4-of-4 on field goals while hitting a pair of extra-points. Most importantly, Butker knocked in the clutch 44-yard field goal to prevent an overtime battle with Minnesota.
Butker previously connected on a 54-yarder in the same quarter on the Chiefs' earlier drive—hitting two field goals in just over two and a half minutes to give Kansas City the tie and then the lead with no time remaining for the Vikings.
