Big news for both the Cincinnati and Miami Ohio programs reared its head, as the universities announced that the series between the two football teams will continue through 2029.

This rivalry extends back to 1888.

Think about that for a second. The Battle for the Victory Bell was around before Michael Jordan dunked on humans. I mean, what in the heck was life like before that?

Um. The answer is, honestly, not all that great. Find me a person in 2017 who would prefer to live in 1888 and I will show you a person who is either evil or lame or both.

Here is a list of the upcoming games between the two programs:

Sept. 16, 2017 at Miami Ohio
Sept. 8, 2018 at Paul Brown Stadium
Sept. 14, 2019 at Cincinnati
Sept. 19, 2020 at Miami Ohio
Sept. 4, 2021 at Cincinnati
Sept. 17, 2022 at Paul Brown Stadium
Sept. 16, 2023 at Cincinnati
Sept. 14, 2024 at Miami Ohio
Sept. 6, 2025 at Cincinnati
Sept. 19, 2026 at Paul Brown Stadium
Sept. 11, 2027 at Miami Ohio
Sept. 9, 2028 at Cincinnati
Sept. 8, 2029 at Miami Ohio

Hooray for in-state rivalries. It is also nice to see that the game will sometimes be held at an NFL stadium. It will give the series that big boy feel that it rightfully deserves to have.

Miami Ohio leads the all-time series 59-55-7. That likely comes to a shock to many, as the Bearcats are the current more dominating program. For what it is worth, though, Cincinnati is enjoying a winning streak of 11 wins in the series.

Obviously of note, all these games will happen early in September. It shouldn't alter either programs' attempts to dominate during conference play.
