Who should we believe when it comes to the Blake Griffin rumors?
Just a few days ago, it was being reported that Griffin was on the Boston Celtics' radar, and the teams had engaged in trade talks. Now, a Clippers insider is saying there is no truth to that.
By that, Dan Woike is most likely referring to the Clippers' interest in trading Griffin to Boston. Interest in Griffin by the Celtics still probably exists.
Also in regards to Blake Griffin-Celtics stuff, high-level source says "there's no truth to any of it."

This runs parallel with reports from the East Coast yesterday. Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald writes:

“Sources indicate the Celtics are very much open to major moves, but while situations certainly remain fluid and they have expressed interest in Blake Griffin and Russell Westbrook in the past, there have been no discussions regarding those players in quite some time.”
Listen, we're all pretty aware that Boston has been interested in acquiring a player like Griffin, Westbrook, or even Jimmy Butler. The Celtics shopped the third-overall pick of last month's NBA draft all over the league before coming up empty. They did well in landing Al Horford, but it's beyond clear they still have a long way to go before they can pretend to be contending with the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The prospect of acquiring Griffin is very interesting. Pair him with Horford in the frontcourt along with point guard Isaiah Thomas and whatever's left after you send a slew of assets to L.A., and you just might have a legitimate contender. However, it's starting to feel like Boston is further away from making this happen than we thought earlier this week.
