Washington Wizards shooting guard CJ Miles had a feeling Kawhi Leonard was going to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers this summer.

Miles points out that Leonard wanted to be in Los Angeles when he requested a trade from the San Antonio Spurs last summer.

The Wizards guard says winning the championship for the Toronto Raptors last season made it easier for Leonard to leave for the Clippers this offseason in free agency.

Kawhi Leonard signed a three-year deal with the Clippers. He was able to convince Paul George to request a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Clippers as well.

For the first time in franchise history, the Clippers are legitimate title contenders with Leonard and George leading the charge. Both superstars are from California.

The Clippers have good depth, but they will go as far as Leonard and George can guide them. Leonard averaged 26.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the Raptors last season. He shot 49.6 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from beyond the arc and 85.4 percent from the free-throw line.

George, meanwhile, put up 28.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 2018-19 on the Thunder while shooting 43.8 percent from the floor, 38.6 percent from the 3-point line and 83.9 percent from the charity stripe.
