The Los Angeles Clippers will take on Domantas Sabonis and the Indiana Pacers on Monday afternoon at Crypto.com Arena. The Clippers have been without star forward Paul George since Dec. 26 as he continues to rehab from a torn UCL in his right elbow. Nonetheless, it would not hurt to know: Is Paul George playing vs. the Pacers?

Is Paul George playing vs. Pacers

Well, is Paul George playing tonight? The Clippers have been very inconsistent since George was sidelined due to the elbow injury. They've secured big wins over the Brooklyn Nets and Denver Nuggets only to drop games against the Sacramento Kings and New Orleans Pelicans.

George began feeling pain in his elbow in early December, and the Clippers elected to give him a five-game break to see how he felt. He returned against the San Antonio Spurs, said he felt fine, and played against the Kings in the team's final game before Christmas. With three subsequent days off, the team conducted a precautionary MRI once George said he was feeling pain again, and discovered the torn UCL in his right elbow. The team announced on Christmas that George would be reevaluated in three to four weeks.

LA has gone 4-8 since Paul George was shelved due to the injury and 7-11 overall without PG-13 this season.

This past Saturday marked the three-week mark since George was sidelined, so his reevaluation is due soon. George is currently nearing the end of the second week of his rest period. So to answer the question, the Clippers star won't be making his return against the Indiana Pacers.

According to good friend and teammate Reggie Jackson, Paul George is definitely planning on returning soon.

“Oh, definitely,” Jackson responded when asked if George plans to return this season. “He’s taking it day-by-day. I just talked to him yesterday on the game. We were playing video games, supposed to be an off day, just relaxing. And that was the first thing he’s thinking about, is like, ‘How are you doing?’ ‘My elbow is feeling good. Rested, feeling good.’ I appreciate hearing that, but I’m like, ‘Paul, just let your mind rest a little bit, good to hear your body is good. Just continue to take it day and day.'”

There was a recent report claiming that the Clippers are not optimistic about George playing again this season. However, the seven-time All-Star hasn't even undergone his reevaluation yet, so that's not confirmed.

In 26 appearances for the Clippers this season, Paul George is averaging 24.7 points, 7.1 rebounds, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals while shooting 42.1 percent. Nonetheless, this all helps answer the question: is Paul George playing tonight?
