After giving slain rapper Nipsey Hussle a tribute video prior to their game against the Memphis Grizzlies, the Los Angeles Clippers continue to pay their respects to the 33-year old artist, as they honor him with a jersey and a pair of sneakers which they placed inside their locker room.

Nipsey was shot by an unidentified assailant earlier today in the clothing store he owns in Los Angeles. Following the shooting, medics quickly rushed the area and brought him, along with two others who were injured, to a nearby hospital.

Hussle was announced dead a couple of hours later.

Authorities are still investigating the incident, although initial reports say that the person who killed Nipsey might've come from a rival gang.

Thousands of fans including NBA players took to social media to send their well wishes to Nipsey's family, as the rapper left a wife and two kids.

In his 10+ years in the rap scene, Nipsey has been able to produce multiple mixtapes and worked with world famous rappers such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and YG. He's also active in community projects in Crenshaw. He's also an advocate of anti-gang related violence.

His most recent album, Victory Lap has been nominated in the 2019 Grammy Awards for best rap album but it lost to Cardi B's Invasion.

This is still a developing story, so expect further updates to be released within the next few hours.
