The Los Angeles Clippers acquired both Marcus Morris and Isaiah Thomas in a three-team trade with the New York Knicks and Washington Wizards ahead of Thursday's deadline, but it looks like they will only be keeping one of the two players.

According to David Aldridge of NBA.com, the Clippers will not be holding on to Thomas.

Thomas played in 40 games for the Wizards this season, averaging 12.2 points and 3.7 assists over 23.1 minutes per game while shooting 40.8 percent from the floor, 41.3 percent from three-point range and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line.

While he is hardly the same player he was three years ago during his MVP-caliber 2016-17 campaign with the Boston Celtics, Thomas still has some use as an offensive threat off the bench, as evidenced by his strong perimeter shooting.

Of course, Thomas is also a massive defensive liability, and with his offensive game not being quite where it was a few years back, he may not be worth it to many teams around the NBA.

The 30-year-old, who played his collegiate basketball at the University of Washington, was originally selected by the Sacramento Kings in the second round (60th pick overall) of the 2011 NBA Draft.

He spent the first three seasons of his career with the Kings, averaging 20.3 points per game during his final year with the club before signing with the Phoenix Suns in free agency in the summer of 2014.

However, Thomas made it just halfway through his first year with the Suns before being dealt to the Celtics, where he enjoyed the most successful two-and-a-half-year run of his NBA tenure, making a couple of All-Star appearances.

Unfortunately, a hip injury in 2017 derailed Thomas, and that ensuing offseason, Boston traded him to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Kyrie Irving.

Since then, Irving has also played for the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets before signing with the Wizards this past summer.
