NBA analyst Charles Barkley firmly believes that the Los Angeles Clippers are winning four straight games against the Dallas Mavericks. The former Phoenix Suns MVP made the bold guarantee at the halftime of Game 4 with the Clippers enjoying a commanding lead over the Mavs on the road.
“The Mavs are in trouble,” Barkley stated (via NBA on TNT). “The Mavs are not going to win another game. They're going to lose four straight,”
Luka and the Mavs shocked the world in the first two games of the series with two incredible wins against the Clippers at Staples Center. While everyone thought that Dallas was going to upset the Clippers and breeze through the first round, Los Angeles got back to work and stole Game 3 on the road.
In Game 4, Kawhi Leonard and company got off to a hot start and took advantage of the young (and ailing) Mavs squad. Now, it seems as though the Clippers have finally found their groove with Paul George and Leonard peaking at the right time.
“The Clippers are front-runners,” Barkley added. “Game 3 was a must-win, and what did I say tonight? This is a must-win because I have been in this situation where you won the first two games on the road. Dallas is in trouble right now.”
With Doncic not at 100 percent and the rest of the Mavs' support unit being rather invisible, the Mavs are on thin ice and LA is just waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce. Chuck said it perfectly: The Mavs are in deep trouble.
