The Dallas Cowboys could very well repeat as NFC East Champions in 2019-20 with the heralded franchise slated to compete against the rival Philadelphia Eagles. Because both the New York Giants and Washington Redskins appear primed for disappointing seasons in 2019, the Cowboys and Eagles will likely be forced to duke it out in the NFC East with both teams notably reaching the playoffs this past season.

However, it won't come that easy for Dallas as the Cowboys are notably just one of two NFL franchises scheduled to play its divisional matchups in three back-to-back pairings. With the Los Angeles Rams slated to do the same in 2019, the Cowboys will matchup against NFC East opponents in Weeks 1 and 2, Weeks 7 and 9 and Weeks 16 and 17, which could serve as either a blessing or a curse in the end.

It is also worth noting that Dallas' bye week will come in Week 8, which gives the Cowboys the second of three back-to-back pairings of this nature.

Last season, the Cowboys unexpectedly won the NFC East division with the aforementioned Eagles reaching the playoffs by way of an NFC wild-card berth. However, the Eagles notably entered the 2018-19 campaign fresh off of the team's first ever Super Bowl title, with the tandem of NFC East franchises now gearing up for what could become a memorable battle in the divisional standings.

Nonetheless, both the Cowboys and Eagles still have some work to do with the 2019 NFL Draft, which is scheduled to take place at the end of the week, now looming.
