The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently searching for a new head coach, as it didn't quite work out with Urban Meyer. Jacksonville has already reached out to several candidates in their search, one of them being Dan Quinn. However, the current defensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys has other plans.
According to Adam Schefter, Dan Quinn has turned down the Jaguars' request to interview him for the head coaching job. Quinn became the Cowboys' defensive coordinator after a failed stint as the Atlanta Falcons head coach.
Cowboys’ DC Dan Quinn will not interview with the Jaguars for their HC job during the two-week window in which HC interviews are allowed, per source. Jaguars requested permission to interview Quinn earlier this week.

It's not a great look for the Jaguars, but Quinn's actions bode well for the future of Dallas. According to Jon Machota, Dan Quinn is all-in on the Cowboys and isn't interested in leaving the team just yet.
Dan Quinn on Monday: “I wasn’t coming here to look what my next job would be. I wanted to come in here, have a blast & hopefully kick ass.”
“If (head coaching opportunities) come, I’ll be ready for them…But I’m having a blast being right here with this crew and going for it.” https://t.co/Nt3f9FZ6Gm

The Cowboys' defense has been a bright spot this year, as they've been one of the best in the league in nearly every category. It's safe to say, Quinn's ability as a defensive coordinator has lifted Dallas to new levels they haven't seen for decades. It'll be interesting to see if he interviews for other head coaching jobs in the offseason, but for now, his mind is set on remaining in Dallas.
This of course doesn't look great for the Jaguars. They have everything a head coaching candidate could ask for. Trevor Lawrence is the face of the franchise, they have a ton of cap space, and valuable draft capital to continue building the roster. Dan Quinn would rather stay with the Cowboys than lead Jacksonville.
For that reason, look for the Cowboys' defense to remain dominant through the playoffs. Dallas has a solid chance at making a super bowl run and Dan Quinn deserves credit. For now, the Jaguars will focus on Kellen Moore instead.
