Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys were able to put together a huge win over the Philadelphia Eagles last week on Sunday Night Football. Now, the Cowboys are hoping to make a run at the NFC playoffs. In order to do that, the 4-5 Cowboys will need to get on a bit of a winning streak.

In an interview with Cowboys' reporter Lindsay Draper, Elliott opened up and stated that the Cowboys have to play like they have their backs against the wall moving forward.

“Yeah, that has to be our mentality for the rest of the season, being 4-5, have an opportunity to make a run for those playoffs. We have to be back against the wall for the rest of the season, and we gotta do everything we can to go out there and try to win every single one of these last games.”

Dallas is going to be an extremely intriguing team to keep an eye on throughout the remainder of the year. There is no denying the talent they have on their roster, but there are still questions about whether they can consistently put everything together.

Elliott has had a solid all-around season, carrying the football 168 times for 831 yards and four touchdowns. Those numbers show just how dominant he has been this season. He has also caught 35 passes for 262 yards and two touchdowns on the season.

At just 23 years old, Elliott has taken on much more of a vocal leadership role for the Cowboys this season. The team has rallied around him on multiple occasions and Jason Garrett needs to do his best to make that happen once again in this situation.

The Cowboys are set to face the Atlanta Falcons on the road this week in what likely is once again a must-win game to stay alive in the playoff race.
