The Dallas Cowboys fell to 1-3 after a defeat at the hands of the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, but there are no drastic changes coming.

Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said the team will hope for internal improvements, rather than outside moves:

“We just have to be better. We’ve got to go to work,” Jones said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “Now’s not the time to think about things like that. I’m very convicted about this staff. I’m very convicted about this team.”

The Cowboys' record does not necessarily reflect their season under head coach Mike McCarthy.

Dallas has had a tough opening schedule, and it was essentially in the game until the final possession in losses to the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks and the Browns.

However, the defense has been a real issue, especially in the last two weeks.

The Cowboys rank last in terms of points allowed and 30th in total yards. They are getting chewed out especially on the ground, ranking 31st in rushing yards allowed.

The secondary has also had a tough time, in part because Dallas cannot generate much pressure up front. Everson Griffen has just one sack, while DeMarcus Lawrence has yet to record a single sack while also failing to register any quarterback hits.

The offense has had success, though quarterback Dak Prescott has consistently had to air it out with the team trailing. Moreover, there is reason to question the sustainability of this offensive success given the loss of star offensive lineman La'el Collins.

Regardless, Jones and the rest of Cowboys management is committed to the current roster and coaching staff. Dallas will hope to get on track against the New York Giants on Sunday.
