Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton had to be helped off the field after taking a dirty head to the head by Washington Football Team linebacker Jon Bostic in the third quarter of Sunday's game.

The hit was as dirty as it gets:

With Dak Prescott already out for the season, the Cowboys have to turn to rookie Ben DiNucci at quarterback with Dalton out for the rest of this game. DiNucci completed the first pass of his career by hitting Amari Cooper for 32 yards.

It has been another disastrous day for the reeling Cowboys, who came into this game hoping to bounce back after a 38-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football. Dalton was struggling before his injury, completing just nine out of his 19 pass attempts for 75 yards and an interception. The interception bounced off Ezekiel Elliott's hands to end a drive at the end of the first half, which saw Dallas get outscored 22-3.

If the Cowboys are unable to pull off a miracle comeback, they'll drop to 2-5 on the season. While they're still in the mix in the NFC East because of how terrible the division is, Dallas is trending in the wrong direction.

But, most importantly, let's hope Dalton is okay after this scary hit. He's being evaluated for a concussion.
