The Dallas Cowboys had a tough Week 5 against the New York Giants. Regardless of the outcome forged by Michael Gallup and Andy Dalton, a devastating Dak Prescott injury spells bad news.

One way to soften the blow a little bit would be to sneak out a win, and in a hard fought battle, that's exactly what they did.

In a 34-34 game, Star wide receiver Michael Gallup reeled in a spectacular catch on a throw from backup quarterback Andy Dalton.

This put the Cowboys into field goal range with under 30 seconds left in the contest. From there, they moved the clock down.

Then as time expired, kicker Greg Zuerlein nailed a 34-yard attempt to give the Cowboys a much needed win.

Gallup deserves a lot of credit for that incredible catch. However, you also need to give Dalton his props. The quarterback came into the game cold, and managed to make a really nice throw there.

The win moves the Cowboys to 2-3, meanwhile the Giants slide down to 0-5.

While that 2-3 record is pretty bad, it is good enough for first place in the massively struggling NFC East. So clearly that win could end up being very important this year.

Dallas now has an uphill battle to climb though. It looks like Prescott is going to be missing significant time. That means they will need other people to step up on the roster and help fill the void that he left.

In Week 5 against the Giants, Gallup did just that. He made a spectacular catch on a very good Dalton throw to help push the Cowboys into field goal range. Then he let the kicker do the rest.
