Tony Pollard has been given an inconsistent role in the offense with the Dallas Cowboys but he showed on Sunday why he should see the field more. After catching a pass from Dak Prescott, Pollard broke loose for an awesome touchdown run versus the Detroit Lions.

During the preseason, Pollard replaced Ezekiel Elliott while Elliott was away from the team due to a holdout. Upon Elliott's return, Pollard has seen his time on the field decrease exponentially.

But when Pollard has been given the ball, he's done a remarkable job making the most of his opportunities. Before Sunday, the rookie running back out of Memphis had 263 yards from scrimmage on 54 touches and a touchdown.

With Pollard showing his potential in the offense, Kellen Moore may choose to involve him more moving forward.
