Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden has put up magical numbers throughout his career. In Monday's matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, Harden became the first player since 1977-78 to have a line of 30+ points, 10+ rebounds, 15+ assists, and zero turnovers in a game.

Harden finished with an impressive 30 points, 14 rebounds, 15 assists, and zilch errors in the Nets' 124-113 overtime win over the Spurs.

The Nets, who escaped with the win despite bad defensive possessions towards the end of the fourth quarter, needed heavy heroics from Harden. After a see-saw start with the Nets, it's quite clear that The Beard has already found his groove. He has taken off quite impressively since Kyrie Irving handed him the keys to run the point guard spot a couple of weeks ago.

Harden and the Nets outscored the Spurs 16-5 in overtime to hack out the victory and improve to 23-13.

Harden’s impact as the floor general has elevated the Nets tremendously over the past two months. He has inserted himself in the MVP race with averages of 25.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 11.1 assists before facing the Spurs.

The Nets have been doing great even without the injured Kevin Durant. With Harden and Irving at the helm, the team has tallied a 7-1 slate without Durant.

The Nets will close out the first half of the season against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday, with James Harden making his much-anticipated return to the Toyota Center since the controversial trade in January. After the turmoil that occurred prior to Harden’s departure, the game could be an emotional matchup.
