Nick Saban's Alabama Crimson Tide have been one of the most successful programs over the last several seasons. Alabama has dominated the college football landscape, bringing home three national championships since the 2015 season. However, that doesn't mean the program is obstacle-free heading into the 2022 college football season. Saban detailed one of the biggest challenges facing the Crimson Tide, per 247 Sports.
“We should have had nine starters back on offense and nine back on defense, but we had six guys go out for the draft so now we've got 5 and 7,” Saban said. “It seems like you're always, your roster changes a little bit more in this day and age, so you have a few more challenges. And that's OK, we love the challenges, but it also creates opportunities for other players.”
Nick Saban detailed how the Crimson Tide “should have had nine starters back” on each side of the ball, though they lost a few key players to the NFL Draft. It's something the Alabama head coach said happens more “in this day and age”, perhaps alluding to the nature of college football with name, image, and likeness deals.

They'll be returning 2021 Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young and defensive standout Will Anderson Jr. The leadership and elite skill of those two players should help the Crimson Tide navigate any turbulence they face.
