Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny will finally arrive on the Nintendo Switch on June 29, 2021. Nippon Ichi Software currently has no plans to bring the English release on PlayStation 4, which currently only has the Japanese version of the game.

Disgaea 6 Release Date: June 29, 2021, for the Nintendo Switch

Disgaea 6 has a lot of new features, including the ability to reach Lvl 99,999,999 and deal up to 10,000,000,000,000,000 damage.

The game revolves around the Super Reincarnation system which allows your character to revive back to Level 1 every time he gets killed by the God of Destruction. Each time you undergo Super Reincarnation, your character, Zed the zombie, retains his previous strength. Each reincarnation also nets you karma, which you can use to further increase Zed's stats.

Disgaea 6 also brings new features that make the game much more bearable. The new Auto-Repeat System, Auto-Battle, and Demonic Intelligence aim to aid players and give the game more replayability. The whole series is notorious for its heavy grind, and these features can help ease up the process for some. There are also now more ways to progress your characters without bringing them to battle, making it easier to keep all your characters on the same power level.

However, initial reviews of Disgaea 6 don't look good. Kotaku‘s review has a lot of complaints about the game's graphics and performance on the Nintendo Switch. That's a bummer, given that this game made our list of the most anticipated games of 2021. Hopefully, the PlayStation 4 version arrives to the West eventually.
