Many Miami Dolphins fans are hoping young gunslinger Tua Tagovailoa can take some large developmental growths in the upcoming season, providing glimmers of hope that the franchise truly found their cornerstone quarterback.

Listening to Dolphins head coach explain how far he's already come, though, and there's reason to get hot and bothered in all the right places.

“He’s definitely more comfortable. Has a better rapport with his teammates,” Brian Flores said about Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa, via Josh Tolentino of TheAthletic. “I’ve seen him … with a better understanding of how we practice. We’ve seen that from him so far.

“Hopefully, he continues to grow and improve.”

While some fans are spoiled by rookie gunslingers hitting the league like gangbusters — thanks, Patrick Mahomes — most young quarterbacks do actually need some seasoning before they make large jumps in development.

Tua Tagovailoa actually had a more than solid rookie season. In games he started, the Dolphins were 6-3. Moreover, he completed over 64% of his passes, tossed 11 touchdowns to only 5 interceptions, and was far better in his first season — for a then alleged bad team — than most projected.

Like, here's the thing. Things are looking really good in Miami for both Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins. Don't sleep on them!
