Dominique Wilkins is a Hall of Famer for his legendary play with the Atlanta Hawks. But he was never able to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals as a player, and that had a lot to do with the Boston Celtics beating the Hawks in all three of their playoff meeting during Wilkins career.
After this year’s Hawks squad defeated the Celtics in Game 6 on Thursday to clinch a 4-2 series win, Wilkins took to Twitter to express his jealousy of the Hawks finally beating their green and white foe.
Wish I could suit up for the last 30 secs just to say I beat Boston! ????

Wilkins actually did play for the Celtics one season near the end of his career, but after playing his first 12 years in the NBA with Atlanta, it’s safe to say he’s a Hawks man through and through.
Atlanta now faces the Cavaliers in Round 2 of the playoffs starting on Monday.
