Following an impressive run to capture Super Bowl 52, the Philadelphia Eagles have been steadily focused over the offseason to adding more pieces to the puzzle on both sides fo the ball. The front office has had several proven players to the mix that could help the team contend once again in 2018.

Along those same lines, the Eagles have reportedly brought in veteran running back Terrance West for a free-agent visit on Tuesday, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun.

West has spent the last three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens where he factored in as a significant part of the running game during his tenure. However, his production took a notable dip in 2017 as he suffered a quad injury after starting four out of the first five games that led to the emergence of Alex Collins as the clear-cut starter. It had also pushed him out of the equation for the starting role as would likely compete with Javorius Allen for playing time.

Through his first five seasons, West has played for the Ravens, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns. His most productive campaign came in 2016 where he recorded a career-high 774 rushing yards with five rushing touchdowns along with 34 catches for 236 receiving yards and a touchdown.

His possible addition to the Eagles would provide more depth at the position to help find a suitable replacement for Kenjon Barner, who has left via free agency. West is a versatile running back that could change the pace in the backfield alongside Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, Wendell Smallwood and Darren Sproles.

Last season, the Eagles possessed one of the league's best running game ranking third with 132.2 yards per game that helped anchor their offense that put up 28.3 points per contest. This could lead to Philadelphia taking a flyer on West to see what he could bring to the table to help further solidify their rushing attack.
