From the director of Deadly Premonition comes The Good Life, set for release in just a few days. This new Debt Repayment RPG is set in Rainy Woods, a seemingly idyllic and happy countryside. The twist? There's been a murder right around the corner. Players can soon try to get to the bottom of the mystery once the game comes out.

The Good Life‘s release date is on October 15, 2021, simultaneously coming out on Steam, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.

At first glance, well-known video game director Hidetaka “Swery” Suehiro's latest game seems to be a more lighthearted adventure compared to his past works. But don't let the colorful village fool you.

In this RPG, players take on the role of Naomi Hayward, a photographer from New York City who is tasked to investigate some mysterious happenings in Rainy Woods. And then a dead body appears in the river. Besides quirky characters like The Woodland Witch, there's also the whole transforming into cats and dogs business going about—just as expected from a Swery game.

All the twists and turns are sure to bring an eerie yet thrilling experience, especially for those who have been backing the game since Swery set up a Kickstarter page in 2018. After delays to the launch, players just have to wait a few days longer before they can grab a copy of The Good Life.
