There are every-day workers that are feeling the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and Arthur Blank is doing right by his employees. Blank, the owner of the Atlanta Falcons, has committed to paying hourly employees that aren't working due to the coronavirus.

Just about every sport you can think of has been suspended or canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak. As a result, employees of those teams are likely concerned with how they are going to make money during the suspensions or cancellations.

Over the past few days, there have been players to commit money from their own pockets to pay the employees. For instance, Kevin Love, Zion Williamson, and Giannis Antetokounmpo have all pledged to aid in the costs of paying the employee's wages in the NBA.

However, as nice as the gesture is, the honus should fall on the owners of the sports franchises. At the least, the Falcons have an owner in Blank that is willing to do the right thing.

Besides the Falcons employees, employees from Blank's Atlanta United Major League Soccer team will also be paid accordingly. Lastly, even members of Mercedez-Benz Stadium will be compensated.

The NFL is one of the only leagues that isn't having their regular season affected by the coronavirus. Still, teams are taking precautions and not allowing workers to report to the team facilities.

Some people don't consider the employees that are currently out of work due to the coronavirus. But after Blank's commitment to pay his employees, other teams in the NFL should follow suit.
