Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout is dealing with a hand injury that has likely given his fantasy baseball managers a real scare, especially after his injury-riddled 2021 campaign. Perhaps the league's best player when healthy, Trout has again dealt with injuries to start the season, as he missed some time with a stomach illness at the beginning of the season. The Angels star provided an encouraging update earlier, indicating that his hand is just feeling sore. Trout's fantasy baseball managers will be even more pleased with the latest update on the star outfielder, per the Associated Press.
Team trainer Mike Frostad said an MRI on Monday was negative for a fracture and that Trout has a bruise. Frostad added Trout’s return to the lineup will depend on pain tolerance.

Trout, who was not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Houston Astros, will be dealing with more of a pain management issue than anything overly serious.
With two games left against the Astros followed by a day off, it wouldn't be surprising to see Trout play in just one of those two contests, thus giving him two days to recover.
There's no doubt about it. Fantasy baseball managers definitely dodged a bullet with the Trout injury.
