The Dallas Cowboys have been one of the best teams in the league this year and most of that can be attributed to Dak Prescott's stellar play. However, the star quarterback's health status is up in the air while Dallas prepares for the Minnesota Vikings. It might be time for fantasy football managers to consider a different quarterback option in their starting lineups.

According to Albert Breer, Prescott is officially listed as questionable ahead of Sunday Night Football.  If he's a no-go, this could be detrimental to the Cowboys. Luckily for them, it doesn't sound like it's a serious injury, but for fantasy football managers, it's time to consider the possibility of not having Prescott in your lineup.

Dak Prescott has been an efficient fantasy option so far this year. According to Fantasy Pros, the Cowboys quarterback is the current QB12 through seven weeks. With 133.52 fantasy points scored, Prescott is averaging 22.25 points per game (in PPR formats) through the six games he's played. Those numbers make Prescott an elite QB1 option for fantasy football.

Depending on the type of league you participate in, quarterbacks are either plentiful or scarce. If he's not able to play, Cooper Rush will likely fill in as the Cowboys' starting quarterback. Even so, he's not a viable fantasy option in Week 8.

Some quarterbacks that might be available and provide solid production in place of Dak Prescott are Kirk Cousins, Daniel Jones, or Trevor Lawrence. It's important to check the waiver wire right now to see who is available. They're not elite fantasy options by any means, but these three players have solid matchups and could be a strong streaming option.

Keep an eye on Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys. The coaching staff will continue to evaluate Prescott leading up to the Sunday night game. A smart move would be to acquire Kirk Cousins just in case, as he also will be playing on Sunday night. This will give you a solid backup plan in case Dak Prescott winds up being a game-time decision.
