The Genshin Impact community has been treated to an unending barrage of leaks for the next upcoming updates. The validity of the leaked information varies but we at least know two new characters will be heading into the game for the 1.5 Update. Currently, beta characters Eula and Yanfei had their identities exposed by famous Genshin leak specialist Lumie. Lumie deleted the tweets but fans already saw what they needed to see.

Now, further leaks showing Yanfei's alleged attacks and skills found their way to the internet. There's no telling whether the information is real but fans forge onward with the assumption that it proves to be at least a little bit true.

YANFEI'S ARSENAL

Yanfei fights using Catalyst Weapons meaning she's meant for a life in the backline of combat. Naturally, much like other Catalyst-users, Yanfei excels at nuking opponents from a distance with her Pyro attacks.

Normal Attack: Seal of Approval

Her normal attacks shoot out fireballs that deal up to three counts of Pyro damage. The attack grants a single Scarlet seal whenever it hits enemies. Yanfei can charge up her attack by consuming all Stamina and all available Scarlet seals in order to deal Area-of-Effect Pyro damage to all enemies around you. Finally, Yanfei can plunge towards the ground from mid-air in order to deal damage to every enemy in her path. The impact on the ground also deals AoE Pyro damage.

Signed Edict

Players can summon flames around the Pyro Catalyst to grant Yanfei the maximum number of Scarlet Seals whenever an opponent gets hit with the flame. Signed Edict works well whenever players find themselves surrounded by hordes of monsters.

Done Deal

Done Deal lets out a spray of flames that blaze towards targeted enemies. The skill also deals AoE Pyro Damage and grants Yanfei the maximum number of Scarlet Seals and applies Brilliance. Brilliance regularly grants Scarlet Seals at fixed intervals and increases the damage of all Charged Attacks while under the buff. Brilliance automatically ends if you switch out with other characters or if your Pyro spellcaster falls in battle

Passive Skills

Critical hits from Charged attacks trigger a special instance of AoE Pyro damage equaling to 80% of Yanfei's attack rating. Additionally, players will be able to spot unique Liyue resources on the mini-map when playing as Yanfei.

FINAL WORDS

The upcoming Pyro Catalyst seems like a reliable companion on paper but we will all have to wait for the official announcement to truly learn which of her skills will be available in the actual game. Leaks do well to stoke excitement but they rarely pay off when it comes to preparing too early. Regardless, if you still need a proper fire-type spellcaster on your team, maybe considering getting Yanfei in the 1.5 Update.
