MiHoYo has brought a lot of new content through multiple updates for its first year. And the kind of content they bring in for every new update for Genshin Impact is jam-packed and dense. Almost no two updates are the same, with miHoYo always innovating and adding new features, mechanics, mini-games, and unique events. Now, nearly a year since release, miHoYo is finally ready to move forward to Genshin Impact version 2.0. And unlike its previous updates, this one looks to bring in a way more.

Genshin Impact version 2.0 Trailer: “The Immovable God and Eternal Euthymia)

Genshin Impact‘s Special Program came with a 5-minute long trailer that encapsulates the feel and soul of the new version 2.0. The trailer showed off the game's new environments, characters, and landscapes. But most importantly, it told us a summary of the new region's story. The political climate in Inazuma is as turbulent as a tempest – very fitting for the nation's Electro Archon.

Speaking of the Electro Archon, we finally get to see the Shogun in action, even just for a fleeting moment. Electro – usually characterized by a split-second shock – seeks to find a different meaning. The Electro Archon seeks eternity – and to do so, she has ordered all Vision bearers to surrender their Vision to her. This has led to widespread euthymia – the feeling of emptiness – after many Vision bearers lost theirs. The rest who refused to give their Visions have either joined a rebellion, or have left the island in exile, like Kaedehara Kazuha.

Meanwhile, there are still a lot of new content detailed out in the Special Program that don't appear in the trailer. Genshin Impact version 2.0 comes out on July 21, 2021.
