Patrick Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas are hoping to stir some echoes in the Big East Conference during the 2019-20 college basketball season.

At the league's media day on Thursday, plenty of coaches had much to say about just about everything. Ed Cooley talked about NIL rights, Kevin Willard spoke about Seton Hall's expectations, so on and so forth.

For Ewing, though, he did hit on multiple subjects, it was his notion that the Big East Conference is as tight as it has ever been.

“It definitely is very close from top to bottom,” Georgetown Hoyas coach Patrick Ewing said via The AP. “It makes the conference more exciting.”

For some context, the Seton Hall Pirates were the preseason pick to finish tops in the league.

As for Ewing and the Hoyas, they'll be looking to build upon a pretty decent 2018-19 college basketball campaign. Returning a good group of young players, it won't be stunning if they were able to return to the NCAA Tournament.
