The United States men's basketball team has dominated the international game over the last several years regaining their status as the top country in the world.

However, it has also put a large target on their backs as the team to beat by every other nation in the world. In light of that, Milwaukee Bucks‘ rising star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo recently told ESPN that he would like to be the next team to take down the United States.

“I'll be the next one to beat them. I'll be waiting for them somewhere,” the Milwaukee Bucks star said before leading a team in an exhibition game involving Greek and foreign players before 15,000 fans at the Athens Olympic Arena on Sunday.

It will be quite a daunting task for any other country to take down the United States national team. Even when they don't feature their elite talent, it is still quite difficult to even get close to that task at hand. This only becomes much more daunting with the expected return of some of the best players in the NBA such as Chris Paul, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Blake Griffin, Kawhi Leonard, and Anthony Davis.

Meanwhile, the other countries only feature a few NBA players at most on their current rosters. For example, the Greece team features Antetokounmpo and his brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo, Nick Calathes and Kosta Koufos. That alone makes it quite difficult to envision any other country getting the upper hand against Team USA.

Although these are admirable aspirations from Antetokounmpo, it doesn't look like anybody will be taking down the United States anytime soon.
