The chances of the New York Giants being able to turn things around in the 2017 NFL season may have taken a major blow in Week 5.

As if the team losing a fifth straight game to start the season wasn't bad enough, the Giants lost four wide receivers against the Los Angeles Chargers. Among the losses was superstar Odell Beckham Jr., according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.suffered a fractured left ankle during Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, according to the team.

Beckham's injury may very well be season-ending with the perennial Pro Bowler expected to have surgery to repair the fracture. The Giants' offense was struggling enough even with the return of Beckham, but now they lose him again along with three others in the receiving corps.

Veteran newcomer Brandon Marshall and 24-year-old Sterling Shepard also suffered ankle injuries in the loss, via Raanan.

Brandon Marshall was carted off in the second quarter with an ankle injury just moments after Sterling Shepard limped off the field with an ankle injury. Both Marshall and Shepard were ruled out for the second half.

Eli Manning's three favorite targets in the passing game could all miss time. Even Dwayne Harris went down against the Chargers with a broken foot.

It is looking more and more like the Giants are headed for a long and disappointing season as there's no telling when they may get their first win or even be on the winning side of things at all during the 2017 campaign.
